Sarajevska pivara provided scholarships to secondary school students
Sarajevo, 3 October 2016 – The Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC has concluded an agreement on monthly scholarships and conduct of practical training for the upcoming school year for students of the Sarajevo High School for Metalworking Occupation and Sarajevo High School of Electrical Engineering.
“We want to thank the Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC for showing its confidence in our students so they may extend their acquired theoretical knowledge by undertaking their practical training within the plants of the company. It is my great pleasure to point out the fact that the students will be provided scholarships that will be really useful in these difficult times. The Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC has proved to be a socially responsible company and what I want is to continue this cooperation in the future,” said Fahrudin Alihodžić, the director of the Sarajevo High School of Electrical Engineering.
The scholarships were awarded to Hajdarević Adnan and Babović Hamza, the students of the Sarajevo High School of Electrical Engineering, and to Jamak Dženan and Gazibara Sead of the Sarajevo High School for Metalworking Occupation.
“This is another example of the establishment of cooperation between our school and a business entity, and we are pleased that we will provide our students with this particular way of acquiring knowledge and skills, and we are especially pleased that the Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC has recognized the correct way of planning its HR needs and decided on turning to direct cooperation with educational institutions,” said Elmedin Lukač, the director of the Sarajevo High School for Metalworking Occupation.
When signing the contract, Haris Kuskunović, the director of the Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC, stressed the importance of creating a skilled workforce for certain production professions, and wished the students the best of luck in performing their practical training.
