It was established during the Ottoman period, and its launch symbolized the beginning of industrialization in the region. 1864 1878 0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} Austro-Hungarian period 1878–1918 During the Austro-Hungarian rule, the brewery was modernized and expanded. More modern equipment was introduced, production was increased, and the Sarajevo Brewery became one of the leading economic entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 1864 1945 0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} Yugoslavia Period 1945–1991 During the Yugoslav period, the Sarajevo Brewery went through phases of nationalization, stagnation, and modernization. By the late 1980s, it was in deep crisis, but by 1991 it had been successfully revitalized and ranked among the four leading breweries in the former Yugoslavia. 1918 1991 0{{current_slide_index}} 0{{total_slide_count}} Siege of Sarajevo period 1992–1995 During the war and the Siege of Sarajevo, the Sarajevo Brewery ceased beer production and became a crucial source of drinking water for the population. We are proud of our history, and that is why we have established a Museum within the Sarajevo Brewery—the only one of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The museum exhibition is divided into different periods: the Ottoman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the World Wars, the Socialist period, and the period after the aggression on Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The museum is open to visitors from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
