Local craft breweries presented at Craft Oktoberfest

Sarajevo, 29 October 2016 – With the support of the Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC, the Craft Oktoberfest took place in the Pivnica HS, presenting six local products from Sarajevo, Mostar, Doboj, Široki Brijeg and Livno breweries. Beer lovers were presented with different types of craft beers such as Apa, Ipa, Porter, White, Stout, Hefeweizen and others.

“Craft brewing is a growing trend in the world, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is about the art of brewing beer in small breweries, which is made according to traditional recipes, including the innovative ones, entailing that these beers have a fuller flavor and aroma. We have been supported by the Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC and I really think that’s the only correct way – to cooperate and grow together,” said Orhan Galičić, the representative of craft beer manufacturers and founder of The Brew Pub.

The Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC, by organizing this beer festival, provided its support to small producers of beer.

“There is a long tradition of brewing beer in our country. It is an interesting fact that the oldest factory in B&H is the Brewery, the Sarajevo one. We are a kind of beer-brewing pioneers in our country, and it is quite understandable to support those who, like us, are truly dedicated to producing quality beer,” said Melisa Sefer-Liçin, the PR director of the Sarajevska pivara dd / JSC .

The craft beers were presented by The Brew Pub and Gelender from Sarajevo, Old Bridž from Mostar, Castrum from Doboj, Lovac from Široki Brijeg and the Livanjska pivara from Livno.
